Sony first revealed these videos using Sackboy: A Big Adventure as an example. Though the showcase video helped Sid Shuman, Senior Director of Global Content Communications at Sony, get past a small section of the game, it wasn’t clear how helpful or in-depth the tips videos might ultimately be.

Moore said Demon’s Souls help videos offer “increasing levels of visibility into what’s needed to complete portions of the game.” These tips are available only for certain tasks, but Moore didn’t say what types of tasks would have help videos.

It remains to be seen if, for example, there will be video strategies for the game’s bosses, or if the videos will help uncover certain crafting items.

Demon’s Souls is one of PlayStation 5’s launch games and showcases the DualSense’s features in unique ways. Haptics and the controller’s adaptive triggers reportedly let players feel the weight of their strikes and the energy of spells they cast. Apart from creating an immersive experience, Moore said these features offer clues about enemy weak points — what works and what doesn’t.

From what we’ve seen so far, Demon’s Souls is shaping up to be a gorgeous and faithful retelling of the original, and a showpiece for the PS5 when it launches on November 12.
